Grateful Headz Springfield Grand Opening Review + XITE Infused Double Shot Espresso Experiment

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Grateful Headz Grand Opening in Springfield, Missouri (1910 E Meadowmere St), and I was genuinely excited to be there.

I had recently met Whitney at the Treehouse Lounge B.O.N.G. event, so seeing her again — this time in a store she clearly loves like her own — was special. She was honestly glowing. She is passionate, driven, and deeply invested in what Grateful Headz is building. From what I understand, she also helps support the Malden and Kennett locations and is a real asset to the brand as a whole.

First Impressions

The store is clean, bright, and welcoming. They love to play music, which gives it a really upbeat energy when you walk in. The incense added a warm touch, and everything felt organized and thoughtfully displayed.

I am absolutely horrible with names — but every single staff member I met was friendly, helpful, and genuinely engaged in conversation. I may not remember everyone’s names, but I definitely remember the conversations.

Selection: More Than Just One Thing

One thing I really appreciated about the Springfield location is how much there is to browse. This isn’t a quick “grab one thing and leave” kind of shop — it’s the kind of place you can actually walk around, look at displays, and find something fun you didn’t expect. It’s a great spot for shopping for cannabis and hemp-related accessories and gifts in Springfield.

• Glass & devices: Lots of variety — from simple pipes to bigger pieces and more advanced devices.
• Accessories: A strong selection of the little things people actually need. I grabbed a 3-in-1 carb cap while I was there.
• Rolling / smoke accessories: Papers, cones, and everyday essentials.
• Clothing & lifestyle: Wearable items that make it feel part head shop, part boutique.
• Incense: A full selection that adds to the shop’s vibe.
• Disc golf: Disc golf discs and accessories — a fun surprise.
• CBD / hemp-derived items: A range of options for different preferences.
• THC / THCa / mushroom products: A variety available. I noticed THCa flower that appeared reasonably priced based on what was visible in-store (always follow applicable laws).
• Extras: Coffee-related items and convenient add-ons.

Education Truly Comes First Here

What stood out most to me is that education genuinely seems to come first at Grateful Headz.

For example, we discussed how some gummies — including certain mushroom and THC products — use tapioca syrup as a base ingredient. Individuals with latex sensitivities may want to use caution and read ingredient labels carefully. They even have an alert built into their point-of-sale system so every customer is informed before purchasing.

In a market where labels, ingredients, and cannabinoid blends vary widely, those conversations matter.

The Infused Double Shot Espresso Experiment

The first thing I decided to try was the XITE 30mg Dark Chocolate Mini. I melted it directly into a double shot espresso and made a brown sugar shaken espresso.

As always, start low and understand your tolerance — especially when combining infused products with caffeine.
