Purchase & Possession Limits

Consumers (21+): What you can buy & possess
- Purchases: Up to 3 ounces per transaction.
- Possession: Up to 3 ounces at any time outside a cultivation space.
- Public use: Local/state prohibitions on public consumption still apply.
Consumer Personal Cultivation (21+)
- Card required before you grow (Consumer Personal Cultivation ID).
- Plant limits: Up to 6 flowering, 6 nonflowering (>14″), and 6 clones (<14″).
- Where/how: Private residence only, inside an enclosed, locked facility, not publicly visible by normal, unaided vision.
- Possession from your grow: Amount above 3 oz must stay secured inside the cultivation facility at your residence.
- Validity: Typically 12 months; renew as required every 3 years.
Patients (medical): Purchases, possession, responsibilities
- Allotment: Standard 6 oz (MMEs) per rolling 30 days; can be higher if your your physican certification has a higher amount. If yours doesn’t and you need to raise it please reach out to us for assistance with that process
- Card term: Patient IDs generally valid 3 years.
- Certification timing: Clinician signature must be < 30 days old at submission.
- Public use: No public smoking unless expressly allowed by law.
- Notify changes: If ineligible or surrendering, notify the department within 10 days.
- Minors: Non-emancipated patients require parent/guardian consent; supervision required.
Patient; Caregiver Cultivation (medical)
- Authorization required (Patient or Caregiver Cultivation).
- Per-patient plant limits: 6 flowering, 6 nonflowering (>14″), 6 clones (<14″).
- Shared facility: Two patients may share one secured space; limits scale and security/tracking must be maintained.
- Security: Enclosed, locked facility; not visible from public places.
Purchase & Possession — details and notes
- Patients: Up to 6 oz / 30 days (or more if certified).
- Consumers: Up to 3 oz per transaction; general possession limit 3 oz outside cultivation.
- Cultivation excess: Keep excess secured inside the home cultivation facility.
- Local rules: Cities/counties may add restrictions on public use and property rules.
