Stoner Gump Solar & Lunar Chews: Testing Edibles After a CBD Reset (Part 3)

Quick note: This is Part 3 of a 4-part “Resetting My System” series where I’m documenting my personal experience with cannabinoids and edible tolerance in real life — not a lab, not a sponsored campaign, and not medical advice.

Start Here: Part 1 & Part 2

If you’re new to this series, start at the beginning:

Quick Recap: What I’ve Done So Far

This mini-series exists because edibles used to work for me — even though I’ve always had a high tolerance. I was never someone who felt 5 mg. But I have had clear edible experiences in the past (including at least one couch-lock moment), which tells me my body can digest THC and respond.

Over time, that response faded — not “weaker,” but close to nonexistent. Instead of chasing higher and higher THC, I started this reset by rebuilding a consistent CBD foundation first. I’ve been taking the Pinnacle Hemp full-spectrum tincture at ½ dropper twice daily, and by the time I tested these chews I had about two full weeks of consistency behind me.

I’ve also done better reducing some obvious omega-6 sources than I have at reducing dabs — and I’m being honest about that. It’s the holidays, I’m doing well overall, and I’m not interested in tanking my health just to “prove” something for a blog post. This is meant to be real life.

🚀 Expectations Check (Stoner Gump Space Vibe, Real Life Edition)

With Stoner Gump’s whole space-and-astronaut vibe, it’s only fair to talk about expectations before I get into Solar and Lunar.

I’ll be honest: I wish 5 mg would send me blasting into orbit. But given my history and tolerance, that’s unlikely — though not impossible.

If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you already know my tolerance is high. This experiment isn’t about “getting wrecked.” It’s about paying attention to what my body does (or doesn’t) respond to right now — and seeing if a CBD foundation makes a difference.

What I’m Testing in Part 3

In this post, I’m testing two formulas:

  • Stoner Gump Solar Chews (Daytime)
  • Stoner Gump Lunar Chews (Nighttime)

Solar vs Lunar: What’s Different (and Why It Matters)

One of the reasons I like this as a “reset” test is that Solar and Lunar aren’t just the same edible with a different label. They’re built around different cannabinoid combinations — and those combinations can change how a product feels for some people.

Important note: This section is educational. I’m not making medical claims or promising outcomes. I’m simply explaining what these cannabinoids are and why people pay attention to them.

What’s in the Solar formula (as listed by the brand):

  • Delta-9 THC — the primary intoxicating cannabinoid most people associate with “feeling” an edible.
  • THCV — a cannabinoid often discussed for having a different “profile” than standard THC in how it interacts with receptors (people describe it differently, but results vary person to person).
  • CBC — a non-intoxicating cannabinoid that interacts with the endocannabinoid system in ways that differ from CBD.
  • CBG — sometimes called a “parent cannabinoid” because it’s part of the biochemical pathway other cannabinoids can come from; it’s also commonly used in blends.

Why this blend is interesting: Solar combines Delta-9 with minor cannabinoids that many brands choose for “daytime-style” formulations. Even without making claims, it’s useful to understand that minor cannabinoids can influence the overall profile of a product, especially for people who pay attention to how different blends feel.

What’s in the Lunar formula (as listed by the brand):

  • Delta-9 THC — the primary intoxicating cannabinoid.
  • CBD — non-intoxicating; often included in blends because it may influence how THC feels for some people (again, individual results vary).
  • CBN — non-intoxicating; commonly used in “nighttime” formulations and often discussed for its association with rest-oriented products.

Why this blend is interesting: Lunar adds CBD and CBN into the mix, which is a common approach in “night” formulas. The point here isn’t to promise sleep or sedation — it’s to understand why products are formulated differently and what those ingredients are.

How I’m Evaluating These (So It’s Fair)

I’m not chasing hype. I’m watching for signal — and I’m documenting it honestly.

  • Onset: How long it takes to notice anything (if I notice anything).
  • Duration: Whether effects linger or drop off quickly (if anything happens).
  • Mental vs body feel: Clear-headed vs heavy, and how it compares to my baseline.
  • Functionality: Can I continue my day normally?
  • Sleep quality (Lunar): Falling asleep, staying asleep, and next-morning grogginess (or not).
  • Digestive comfort: Any stomach or “off” feelings (or none).

Testing Plan (Real Life, Not Perfect Life)

  • CBD foundation: ½ dropper twice daily for ~2 weeks before testing.
  • Omega-6 tweaks: Doing better here than I expected.
  • Dabs: I haven’t cut down as much as I’d like — it’s the holidays and I’m prioritizing stability and health.
  • Re-test option: If I get no response this round, I may try again after the holidays when my routine is calmer and try to do a 3 to 5 day tolerance break which is long overdue anyway.

Disclosure: This post is not sponsored. These are products I purchased myself. No one asked me to write this, and no outcome is guaranteed or expected.

🌞 Stoner Gump Solar Gummies — Daytime Thoughts

First off, I have to say this: I actually liked the taste. That matters more than people think. Some gummy brands taste awful — artificial, bitter, or just plain wrong. These didn’t. They were genuinely yummy, and honestly… I could’ve eaten more of them just for the flavor alone.

The orange ones were my favorite, hands down.

I did notice a slight tingling sensation one day, which tells me there is something happening here — even if it’s subtle for someone like me. I played around with dosing anywhere between 1 and 4 gummies, but in the end, even 4 was way too low of a dose for my system.

That said, I didn’t really take these expecting to get high. If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you already know my tolerance is high.

What I did notice was a small reduction in anxiety — not enough to fully control it, but enough to take the edge off. And that actually mattered more than I expected. I found myself reaching for them multiple times during the day, which says something on its own.

One unexpected benefit?
They sometimes helped me delay my dabs.

They gave me just enough balance that I didn’t need to dab right away. I could wait a few hours, and for me, that’s honestly a win. Staying level without immediately reaching for concentrates is not nothing.

🌙 Stoner Gump Lunar Gummies — Nighttime Thoughts

The nighttime gummies were a bit harder to evaluate for me.

I’m a chronic insomniac, and my sleep issues are pretty severe. Anyone who follows me on social media has probably seen me complain about it more than once. Because of that, I didn’t notice a dramatic improvement in sleep.

I didn’t suddenly fall asleep faster, and I didn’t stay asleep all night.

However — and this part matters — I might have woken up slightly less, which is honestly about the best result I ever get from anything. When your sleep baseline is already rough, even small improvements count.

What I did notice more clearly was less joint pain, especially around the holidays when my body usually lets me know exactly how old I am. That part was genuinely nice and probably the most noticeable benefit for me from the Lunar gummies.

Again, for someone with severe sleep issues and high tolerance, I wasn’t expecting miracles — and that expectation matters when reading this.

🧠 Final Thoughts (and What’s Coming Next)

Stoner Gump Solar and Lunar gummies weren’t about getting me high — and they didn’t try to be. For someone with high tolerance, concentrate use, and chronic insomnia, these landed exactly where I expected them to: subtle, supportive, and functional.

  • ✔️ Good taste (which is rare)
  • ✔️ Mild anxiety edge-off
  • ✔️ Helped delay dabs
  • ✔️ Some joint pain relief
  • ❌ Not strong enough for heavy sleep issues
  • ❌ Not designed for high-tolerance intoxication

And that’s okay — because not every product is meant to knock you on your ass.

Up next in this series is the one I know a lot of you have been waiting for:
👉 THC-P.

That one plays in a very different lane, and we’ll talk about that experience honestly too — strengths, limits, and who it’s actually for.

Stay tuned.
