I have a question I can’t find here. Can you help?

Yes. Email deb@cannaanswers.com or call/text (417) 439-0947. You can also book online.

Do you have a doctor you work with?

Yes. Patients consistently have excellent experiences with Dr. James McEntire of Progressive Osteopathic Therapies (“The Green Pot Clinic”).

What is the process to get a Missouri Patient ID card?

See a Missouri-licensed MD/DO or eligible NP. Your clinician submits your certification; then you file your application and pay state fees in the portal. We offer portal assistance for $25 + state fees. The state has up to 30 days to process. When approved, download and print your license — there is no physical card mailed. Official portal links: registerlogin.

What are your business hours?

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Friday–Sunday: by appointment. You can book online anytime.

I tried to file my application and got stuck or denied. What now?

We diagnose what went wrong, correct your files, and resubmit with you. Start by emailing deb@cannaanswers.com or calling or texting (417) 439-0947.

Are there family or custody protections for medical patients?

Yes. Article XIV says legal cannabis use cannot be the sole or primary basis for child removal or custody action. See the Family Protections guide for helpful constitutional language and best practices such as safe storage and not being impaired during parenting time. For case-specific advice, speak with an attorney.

Do I have employment protections?

Some protections exist for medical patients, but job type and employer policy still matter. Article XIV restricts discipline for lawful, off-duty use, but DOT/CDL and safety-sensitive roles are stricter. Details are in the Missouri Cannabis Employment Protections guide.

I’m on probation or parole — can I use cannabis?

It is complex. Article XIV includes patient protections, but probation or parole terms may reference federal law or specific court orders. Many people seek a written modification from the court before using. See the Probation & Parole page for an overview and questions to ask your attorney.

How long are medical cards and cultivation licenses valid?

Patient ID cards are valid for 36 months. Patient and caregiver cultivation licenses are valid for 12 months and can be renewed. Consumer personal cultivation licenses are also valid for 12 months.

How much can a patient possess, and how do I get more than 6 oz per month?

Standard medical allotment is 6 ounces per 30 days and a 60-day supply in possession. Your clinician can authorize higher limits (for example 12, 16, 24, or 32 ounces per month) on one certification when medically appropriate. See the Missouri Cannabis Rules guide for more detail.

What should caregivers know about limits and labeling?

Caregivers may possess a separate legal limit for each patient (up to six) and must keep products stored separately and clearly labeled for each patient. With cultivation authority, they must follow plant counts, security rules, and tagging requirements.

Are there special forms for minors or when someone files on my behalf?

Yes. Use the Parental / Legal Guardian Consent form and the Patient Authorization form when a parent, guardian, or other authorized person files for the patient. Upload these with your application if they apply.

What documents do I need, and where do I apply?

You need a valid clinician certification (signed within 30 days), a government-issued photo ID, and a clear color face photo. Official info is at cannabis.mo.gov. Apply through the state portal: registerlogin.
